Cruise groups preparing for a weekend with
the Navy

|
Blind Sailing New Zealand has in the past organised a series of
cruises in co-operation with the Royal New Zealand Navy. Until
now most cruises have usually been held during November. The
group is experementing with Late Summer dates to see if the weather
can be more clement at that time.
Currently an association is being
sought from interested boat owners to provide a cruising facility
for this group. Blind Sailing NZ would welcome hearing from intereste
boat owners that woul participate in an annual cruise with a
50/50 Blind, sigted crew.
A large number of VIP's have passed through this group and the
participants have come from all corners of New Zealand. They
have sailed as crew or helmed Yachts from an Ameica's Cup Class
yacht to an Optimist. They are Qualified either by Blind Sailing
NZ's certification system or as high as Yachting New Zealand
Coaching Certificate level.
Watch this page for advice on the next cruise.
